Dahi baras are one of the famous street dishes of Pakistan. We often buy it from market shops but guess what now you can make Dahi Baras at home with this simple recipe.

White lentils (soaked)

Yogurt (whipped)

Almonds (chopped)

Fresh milk

Baking soda

Corn flour (made paste
with water)

1 tbsp

Chaat masala, finely cut
almonds, sweet and sour tamarind chutney

For garnishing

Method
- Strain both lentils.
- Grind lentils finely with onion and garlic in a chopper; remove in a bowl.
- Add baking soda, salt and almonds; whip well.
- Mix sugar, salt, corn flour and milk in yogurt; pour half yogurt in bowl.
- Mix 2 tbsp yogurt and water in a large bowl; set aside.
- Heat oil in wok; fry flat lentil dumplings golden.
- Immerse in yogurt water for 2 minutes; remove and squeeze lightly.
- Arrange in yogurt bowl; pour remaining yogurt on top.
- Garnish with almonds, chaat masala and tamarind chutney.
